“Who Is DJ Cy?”

Roots, Rave & Real Energy

Step into the world of a true lover of old skool music and the legendary rave scene. My journey began back in 1992, deep in the heart of the rave movement. Growing up in North London, I was surrounded by the sounds, culture, and energy that shaped a generation. Like many true ravers of the era, I was stepping into clubs before I was even legal age, chasing the music, the atmosphere, and the community that defined the early rave scene.

My first nightclub experience was the legendary Camden Palace, a place that changed everything for me. I became a regular at the Hippodrome in Leicester Square, attending monthly events that fuelled my passion and shaped my identity. At the same time, I was locked into the pirate radio airwaves — namely Rush FM — absorbing the raw underground sound that inspired a whole generation of DJs.

By the age of 17, I was already behind the decks, collecting vinyl and building the foundations of the DJ I would become.

Passionate about the sounds that defined an era, I bring you the best in Old Skool Rave, Jungle, Drum & Bass, and UK Garage mixes. I’ve played on radio stations and performed at events under the alias DJ Styler — including the iconic Informal — always pushing raw underground energy wherever I go.

My journey also took me into the UK Garage scene, where I mixed alongside some of the genre’s biggest names — including Scott Garcia, Ray Hurley, and more. I played at raves across Littlehampton and Brighton, bringing the same raw energy and underground spirit that shaped my early years.

I’ve released music under the alias NINO on Ruffneck Ting, RW Digital, and Murky Digital. I ran an online radio station as CEO, creating a platform dedicated to real underground sound. I’ve also played alongside some of the biggest names in the rave and Jungle/Drum & Bass scene.

More than three decades later, I’m still attending raves today, still connected to the movement that raised me, and still keeping the spirit of Old Skool alive through every mix, every set, and every dancefloor moment.

Join me on this journey through the heart of rave, where the spirit of Old Skool lives on. Let’s keep the dance alive.
